STANFORD UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Liquid Light

LOCATION: Palo Alto, California

DESIGNED BY: Studio James Carpenter

LIQUID LIGHT at Stanford University Hospital is a suspended glass installation, composed of rippled cast glass prisms designed to evoke the movement of waves across the ocean’s surface. Positioned within the hospital’s central atrium, the work captures and diffuses light to create a continually interplay of movement.
